Technology

We have leapfrogged the scalability challenges inherent to bitcoin and other traditional cryptocurrencies by designing several novel new architectures:


  1. Altacoin Currency Transaction Engine (ACTE)

    The ACTE offloads redundant blockchain computation and transaction verification across the entire network and collects them onto a set of dedicated servers running on optimized hardware.The resulting economies of scale frees up computation resources across the network and virtually eliminates all network latency issues.The end benefit is a cryptocurrency that can achieve median confirmation times under 200ms and even under heaviest load being well under 30 seconds, faster than the hours-long confirmation times for Bitcoin and even the minutes-long confirmation times for Litecoin.

    The ACTE is how we enable fast, real-time payments across a global network, allowing merchants and buyers to transact quickly, safely, and cheaply.

  2. Ultramine and Ultramine Proxy Agent (UPA)

    The UPA registers a user’s machine using a one-time initial proof-of-work “investment” and proxy-mines coins proportional to the miner’s registered processing power.
